One More Week to Win! 📣 Fiction & Poetry Contest Deadline Extended
Submit your work by March 7 for a chance to win $1,000
Good news everyone! 🥳 We’re extending the deadline to submit your work to HFR’s Fiction & Poetry Contest by ONE WEEK! We will now be accepting submissions until March 7.
We’re already reading submissions – and they’re great! – and we want to make sure to give as many writers as possible a chance to send us their work.
What to Send
Submit up to 20 pages of fiction or 10 pages of poetry (1-3 poems). No theme. The contest submission fee supports our production costs and gets you a one-year subscription to the magazine ($23 for print or $15 for digital).
Read full guidelines at haydensferryreview.com/haydens-ferry-review-contest.
Prizes
Four winning writers will have their work published in HFR's fall/winter 2025 print issue as well as in an online contest folio. Two winners, one in each genre, will be awarded $1,000 each, and one runner-up in each genre will win $250.
All entries can be considered for publication.
Judges
Hieu Minh Nguyen, author of Not Here, is this year’s guest judge in fiction and Gwen Kirby, author of Shit Cassandra Saw, is our guest judge in fiction.
